The process involves multiple inkjet printheads that deposit tiny droplets of liquid acrylic photopolymer onto the build platform. These droplets are immediately cured (hardened) using UV light, which solidifies the material. The build platform lowers incrementally after each layer is cured, allowing subsequent layers to be printed on top of the previous ones. This layer-by-layer approach continues until the entire object is fully formed.
MJP technology is capable of producing high-resolution parts with fine details and smooth surface finishes. It can also use multiple materials in a single print job, enabling the creation of complex parts with different material properties or colors. This versatility makes MJP ideal for applications in prototyping, manufacturing, and end-use part production, especially in industries like consumer electronics, healthcare, and automotive, where detailed and accurate parts are essential. Additionally, MJP supports the use of wax or other easily removable support materials, which can be melted or dissolved away, leaving a clean final part with intricate geometries.
