Lost Wax Casting

Lost wax casting, also known as investment casting, is a method used to create intricate metal parts.

The process starts with creating a wax model of the desired part, which is then coated with a ceramic shell to form a mold. The mold is heated to melt and remove the wax, leaving a hollow cavity in the ceramic. Molten metal is then poured into this cavity to form the final part. After cooling, the ceramic shell is broken away, revealing the cast metal component. This technique is prized for its ability to produce detailed and complex parts with high precision and a smooth finish, making it popular in industries such as jewelry, aerospace, and automotive.
